The Bio eStart Duo is FinScan's proven dual engine starting technology. Built into many new boat designs around the world, its stylish, modern design compliments any type of helm design. Ideal for dual or quad engine installations in any size yacht, managing keys will be a thing of the past. With world first optional features such as Keyless fingerprint ignition, integrated with blower control and fume detection to deliver the safest, centralised marine engine starting solution available
• For use on gasoline or diesel inboard / outboard engines
The Bio eStart Duo can be used on gasoline or diesel engines. Removing the need for keys and start / stop panels. The engine starting and stopping process is entirely managed securely with out needing keys.
• Storage capacity for 1000 fingerprints per engine
With the capacity to store 1000 fingerprints, each fingerprint is like a key for each engine, so multiple fingers , partners and crew can be programmed to enable the ignition and starting of the boat. Is ideal for boat shares where multiple owners can access the boat without the need to hand around or manage key sets.
• Designed for use on Dual or Quad engines
With two fingerprint sensors and related buttons to manage two marine engines, the FinScan Bio eStart Duo takes care of the starting of two marine engines from one , easy to use unit. The Bio eStart Duo also can be configured for installations that have Quad outboard or POD installations such as Cummins Mercruiser Zeus , and Volvo Penta IPS
• “Plug and Play” installation with most engine brands
All FinScan Bio eStart models are available with a "Plug and Play" harness for most engine brands, this makes electrical installation easy , as the unit simply plugs in to the engine harness, and begins to control the boat ignition system with out keys. Loose end harnesses are also available for refit onto any older model engine.
• Compatible with many marine engine brands
FinScan has performed many installations on many engine brands, increasing the range of "Plug and Play" engine harnesses available every year. Compatible brands include Volvo Penta IPS, EVC , Cummins Mercuiser Zeus, SmartCraft, MAN , Yanmar, Caterpillar, Scania and many more.
• Optional ESM– SAFE engine starting for gasoline marine engines

The Bio eStart Duo is a MUST HAVE on any boat with an enclosed gasoline marine engine. It greatly reduces the chance of explosion during gasoline engine start up by the presence of dangerous gasoline vapours. By default, the FinScan Bio eStart Duo takes control of the enabling of the boat ignition and engine starting.
With ESM mode installed, FinScan also take control of the boat blowers, for use with the integrated FinScan fume detector to deliver the safest engine starting solution available on the market. Enforcing blower operation times and fume detector checks, the Bio eStart Duo will not enable , or allow starting of the boat engines until the dangerous conditions are removed or the operator bypasses the mode.
