FinScan, the worlds first marine biometrics manufacturer, announced today an OEM partnership with Mustang Marine, one of Australia’s largest manufacturers of luxury sports flybridge and cruisers. Mustang Marine has been manufacturing boats for over 30 years,and today manufacturers boats from 28ft to 56ft. Representing the latest technology available to the marine industry, the FinScan partnership fits with Mustangs philosophy, of use of the latest technology in their designs.
FinScan will be supplying the” Bio eStart –Fingerprint engine starting technology “ for standard fit on the new 480 Euro Flybridge due for release at the 2009 Sydney International Boat Show, and as an option across the entire Mustang range. In addition, Mustang will also be displaying the recently released 430 Sports Coupé at the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show later this month , fitted with Volvo IPS 600’s and FinScan’sBio eStart in a dual engine configuration.
The Bio eStart elimates the need for engine keys and traditional Start / Stop panels, and replaces them with a stylish flush mounted LED backlit device with LED indicators for ignition and power state. Mustang owners will be assured an easy boating experience, without the need to hide or remember engine keys before going boating. Worrying about engine security when children are present or if the boat is unattended will be a thing of the past, the boat owners fingers are the key to the engines.
